webbyghost said: I see, I won't press th' subject. Who on the ship do you think needs your help the most? Well I do not believe an need my help per say however I do try t help out with River the best I can when Simon and Kaylee would like to alone.
webbyghost said: 'm tryin' to think up good questions but I just kinda lose it a little and my brain flips over in my head. Wait, I got one. What was your childhood like? That is quite fine. Now my childhood was not… “nice” or “pleasant.”
imgoingtocrash said: Do you ever feel that you don't get to spread your teachings around the verse much because of the "not-always-legal-or-respectful" jobs the crew is doing here and there? I was just thinking on some planets, coming off the ship and preaching to people might not be so easy when there could be danger at any second from a job gone wrong... Well I do not go onto a soap box and preach to people. i have learned that people must be open to God. God is always there for us but not all of us are there for God.
webbyghost said: Hello there Shepherd. i uh... I'm not really sure what to ask an upstandin' man such as yourself, so I s'pose I'll stick to what I been askin' the other crewmembers. What's the best memory you got, from before Serenity? Oh why hello there. I am not that upstanding ha ha. Best memory before Serenity was when I first joined the abbey. Thank you for our question.

As Wash said, some people juggle geese. Some beliefs structures have changed but not too much. All cover the same beliefs. There may be a place where they juggle geese. He swears by this but you never know, it may be true.
brightredroseblessedinconcrete said: On a basis of the second part of my question, what do you think of as religion as a point of human myth? Claude Leví Strauss dictates in his essay on structuralism that it's a key structure in how people work as a society. Out in the black, how does that hold true? I believe I agree. Someone will base most of their actions on how they were raised. Depending on moral backgrounds, religion is not the only factor as you know. Take Malcolm for example he does not believe in god, however he is an admirable man, he cares truly for people whether he will admit it or not. I hope that somewhat answers your question.
brightredroseblessedinconcrete said: I'm interested in why you became a shepherd. Did you study theology or was a divine intervention of sorts? Also, if you studied theology, what do you think about human belief systems as a support for myth? It was a divine intervention son. When I was your age I never considered religion real. I thought it was just a myth to get some other folks going. The stupid folks. Then one day, God came to me, believe it or not. Showed me I could do so much more. Could be a force of good and spread his love.
Anonymous said: Do you prepare anything for Easter? I prepared a very nice easter dinner with some fresh food from Haven’s garden that I take care of very diligently.
Anonymous said: Are there any other Christian souls on Serenity?
Well i wouldn’t exactly count anyone as chrisitian. They all respect my beliefs. For example I’ll say grace and Jayne or someone else will join me. I heard at one point Malcolm was a Christian but then he lost his battle and his faith. |
